Dumbarton Castle - Graphite stick on cartridge paperI rarely draw outside as I don't find it easy or convenient, but this is one of those rare occasions. I find it difficult to draw random and complex patterns like the rock face in this - i probably should have just made some suggestions and approximations of the detail.
There were children, dogs and families bussing around me as I drew this... my biggest fear being that a wet dog would walk up to me and do that shaking-the-water-from-its-fur thing.
